STAR College in Durban had reason to celebrate when the 2020 NSC results were released as the average distinction rate was 3.22 which named them the BEST PERFORMING SCHOOL IN KZN AND IN THE TOP 10 SCHOOLS IN SOUTH AFRICA IN SOUTH AFRICA

after achieving a 100% matric 2020 pass rate. Against all odds through the Covid-19 pandemic, Star College really were the Stars in the darkness. Through hybrid learning, focus from learners and support from parents and dedicated educators, we achieved excellence!
⭐Shaylen Pillay, who will be attending UCT and will be studying Actuarial Science achieved and aggregate of 96.14 % excluding LO.
He achieved 9 A’s
⭐Sailin Vadivelu, who will be studying Medicine at UKZN also achieved 9A’s with an aggregate of 90.63 % excluding LO

Dear Parents/ Guardians

Despite the struggles and uncertain future due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I am amazed by the achievements of our matriculants! I would firstly like to thank you. Without your unwavering support during your child’s matric year and despite the added stress of Covid-19 we were united in achieving academic success.

My dear staff… What can I say other than that I am humbled by the manner in which you overcame challenges
by mastering online teaching. You went beyond the call of duty
by offering extra lesons, tuition and moral support to our learners which is greatly appreciated.

Lastly, our learners. You are truly stars! How did you do it? You had the love and support of your parents and a team of dedicated educators to sustain your interest in your studies. By being goal oriented, motivated and disciplined ensured that your performance in your final examination was at an optimum.
